The Granite State

New Hampshire is an outdoorsman’s dream. Five of the major rivers in the northeast US begin in the White Mountain Range which climbs to 6288 feet above sea level. White water rafting, hiking, skiing and mountain climbing are all common activities in this State.

Abundant water power turned New Hampshire into an industrial state early on making manufacturing the principal source of income. The most important industrial products are electrical and other machinery, textiles, pulp and paper products and stone and clay products. Dairy, poultry, fruit and vegetable growing, corn, potatoes and hay are the major agricultural interests.

Because of New Hampshire's scenic and recreational resources, tourism now brings over $3.5 billion into the state annually.
