Wyoming is a state with vast areas of undeveloped land, towering mountains and vast plains that provide spectacular scenery and offers true Western culture along with the smallest population in the United States. There is grazing lands for sheep and cattle and rich mineral deposits too. Attractions include Yellowstone National Park that is one of the most impressive pieces of wilderness in the United States with its spewing geysers, bubbling hot pots and colorful canyons, hikers, campers and skiers are attracted to Grand Teton National Park with wildflowers set against a backdrop of craggy purple peaks, the Jackson Hole National Monument in the Teton Range of the Rockies and the Fort Laramie National Historic Site to name a few. Cheyenne, the capital, is famous for its annual “Frontier Days” celebration. Wildlife is plentiful and there is a wonderful range of elk, bison, big horn sheep, antelope and moose to see.

Mining, particularly oil and natural gas is the most important industry in Wyoming. The state has the world's largest sodium carbonate deposits and has the nation's second largest uranium deposits. Wyoming, in 2004, ranked second among the states in wool production and it also had 1,400,000 cattle. Wyoming’s major crops include wheat, oats, sugar beets, corn, barley and alfalfa.
